#1 in Japan

Congratulations to Starlab Publishing songwriter Nicklas Eklund and Kevin Borg together with Hanif Hitmanic Sabzevari wrote the song “King of chance”. The group behind the song is the popular Japanese boybandet Johnny West and is # 1 on the sales charts right now, with over 100,000 singles sold.

Starlab Showcase at Café Opera

Starlab invited to a big showcase at Café Opera in Stockholm where Starlabs artists performed a couple of songs each in front of a packed audience. The evening was a great success and we thank everyone involved: Artists, songwriters, musicians, host, Sound & Light technicians, film makers, photographers, volunteers and especially all the guests and audience.

Release – “Drive she said”

Today, the rock band Drive She Said releases the album “Pedal to the Metal” through Frontiers Records. One of the songs on the album “Rainbows and Hurricanes” is written by Starlab Publishing songwriters Jimmy Åkerfors and Mark Mangold.

Starlab Release – Ambition 17

Today we release the third single with our wonderful girl duo Ambition 17. The song is called 100 years and is written by the girls themselves Amanda Levin and Jennifer Filipsson with Jimmy Åkerfors, who also produced the song in Starlab Studios.

Release in Korea

Congratulation to Starlab Publishings songwriters Daniel Palm and Ellen Berg Tollbom who wrote the song “Funky Boy” to the popular Korean girlband Mamamoo. Their song is on the album “Melting” which is released today.

# 1 on the Japanese sales charts

Congratulations to Starlab Publishing songwriters Jan Andersson and Peter Hedén who wrote the song “Electric Shock”.
The song is included on the popular Japanese act Sexy Zone’s new album released today and which has already sold over 71,000 albums.

Release in Asia

Starlab release – Michael Fannon

2015 was the year Michael Fannon took the first steps into the Swedish musicscen. In early January, he released his debut EP “Bara så de é” and recorded a music video in beautiful Visby on New Year’s Eve. He won the “Svensktoppen Nästa” with the song “Kommer tid, Kommer råd”, which been played over 1,3k times on the Swedish Radio. Lots of interviews followed, among other things, a #4 on Spotify’s rating “Viral 50 ‘(the list reflects the most shared songs in Sweden). Together with his team at Starlab he wrote, “Första Julen Utan Dig” which was nominated for 2015 year’s Christmas song by Swedish Radio as well A- listed song. Michael has performed at clubs and festivals around Sweden. Recently, he signed a contract with Demo Entertain for tour bookings.
2016: Now Michael releases his first single of the year, “En del av mig”. The song is the third release in the series picked up by the Swedish Radio. The song was written by Michael Fannon, Johannah LaBranche and Jimmy Åkerfors, who also produced the song in Starlab Studios!

Japan release – Johnny’s West

Congratulations to Starlab Publishing songwriters Kevin Borg and Simon Gribbe who wrote the song “Tamer” that have Japan release today. The song is featured on the popular boyband Johnny’s West album “Lucky 7”.

Starlab release – Michael Fannon

Today we release Michael Fannon Christmas single “Första Julen Utan Dig.” The song was written by Michael Fannon himself with Johannah Granqvist and Nicklas Eklund, who also produced the song in Starlab Studios.
